Dragon’s Dogma 2 allows players to fast travel to locations impossible to reach via Oxcart by making use of Deployable Portcrystals, which can only be activated in exchange for the ever-sought-after Ferrystones. But how can you get both of the items? To help you get a few Portcrystals early on and as many Ferrystones as you can, here’s how to get both items in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How To Get Ferrystones in Dragon’s Dogma 2

To start, you can get Ferrystones in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by purchasing the item from consumable vendors in all of the game’s main cities and outposts. No matter your seller of choice, each Ferrystone will cost around 10,000 Gold (can be less if you manage to get discounts). The items in the game will restock in about two to three in-game days after running out.

You can also get the item by both opening treasure chests and, as you can see below, completing quests. Players in the late-game stage can also get Ferrystones by exchanging three Wyrmslife Crystals at the Bay Wayside Shrine.

After getting a house in Vernworth during the A Place to Call Home quest, NPCs you have a good relationship with may also gift them to you. You can access your gifts by interacting with the bags by your front door. Each gift will come paired with a letter. Some enemies, like the Minotaur, can also drop the item.

You can get Deployable Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by completing quests—I got my first one by completing the A Trial of Archery side quest and a second one by completing The Feast of Deception. You can also get the item by opening chests while exploring, as well as by purchasing it as a DLC. You will also be able to trade 20 Wyrmslife Crystals for one Portcrystal in the Bay Wayside Shrine.

After acquiring a Portcrystal, you will be able to place it by heading to your inventory and then selecting use. After being placed, the Portcrystal will be represented by a purple crystal icon when on the map view. You can disable any placed Portcrystals and return them to your inventory by heading to them and selecting Pick Up.

Now that you know how to get both Ferrystones and Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2, consider learning what the max level is.

You can play Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
