But as you can find out after completing her romance, there’s way more to the Proprietress of the Rose Chateau than her unquestionable charm and quick thinking. Here’s how to romance Wilhelmina and help her finally get her revenge in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
How To Romance Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2
You can romance Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by completing the Every Rose Has Its Thorn quest. The quest can only be unlocked after you complete the Disa’s Plot, An Unsettling Encounter, and The Stolen Throne quests. After completing all quests, you must then trigger its related dialogue. The dialogue can be triggered by talking to Wilhelmina after raising her affection to a certain level.

- Disa’s Plot: You can trigger the quest by, after meeting with Captain Brant during Seat of the Sovran, selecting “Tell me of the queen regent.”
- An Unsettling Encounter: Can be triggered immediately after completing Disa’s Plot by talking to Captain Brant at the tavern and then selecting “Tell me of rumors about Allard.”
- The Stolen Throne: Can be triggered by talking to Brant at the tavern after completing Monster Cullings and then selecting the “Tell me of the masquerade” option.
How To Raise Wilhelmina’s Affection Level
To raise Wilhelmina’s affection to the level required to unlock Every Rose Has Its Thorn, I recommend that you head to the Rose Chateau and gift her with 1x Bunch of Flowers at a time before talking to her. Keep doing so until she starts her dialogue with, “You know, many of my patrons wish to take me for themselves,” thus unlocking the quest.
How To Trigger and Complete Every Rose Has Its Thorn in Dragon’s Dogma 2
After completing all prerequisites, you will be able to trigger the Every Rose Has Its Thorn quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by heading to Wilhelmina’s room at the Rose Chateau. Once at her door, Rolf will inform you that she is currently with another client. To formally start the quest, simply head to her room and then interact with the frame featured below. The frame will be located on the right portion of the room, and as showcased during The Stolen Throne, will hide a peephole.
After a brief cutscene, Wilhelmina will ask for your help in exposing Allard’s schemes. A feat you can accomplish by gathering two pieces of evidence — in this case, a Murder Report and the Bribery Investigation Findings. You can check out how to get all the pieces of evidence below. Keep in mind that you will only have three in-game days to procure all of the evidence needed, so make it your top priority.
1st Evidence Location: How to Get the Murder Report
You can get the first evidence by heading to Sven’s Chambers at Vernworth Castle, which you can reach through the Guardhouse. Once there, talk to the prince and he will guide you to Patrick, a nobleman of the court. To reach Patrick, simply follow the quest marker.
The Lord will then point you to the location of the first piece of evidence (Allard’s Estate) and offer to help you by getting Allard out of his house. Once at the estate, you will be able to find the evidence by heading to the first room atop the stars and then examining a painting placed directly above a small table.
2nd Evidence Location: How to Get the Bribery Investigation Findings
The second piece of evidence — aka the Bribery Investigation Findings — can be acquired by heading to the house marked on the map below, which is located southeast of the Merchant Quater. Once inside, you will be able to find the Bribery Investigation Findings at the top of a table.
After getting both pieces of evidence, head to The Stardop Inn, talk to Brant and select the “Tell me of the Myrmecoleon” option before giving him the Bribery Investigation Findings. Now, select “Search for more evidence” and then talk to him again to give him the Murder Report.
It is vital that you select the option ”I’ll have any aid you can give” after giving Brant the second piece of evidence, as doing so will prompt him to help you during the final stages of the quest and avoid a messy situation.
Final Steps and Romancing Wilhelmina
After giving both pieces of evidence to Brant, simply do the following to complete the quest and romance Wilhelmina in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
- Talk to Wilhelmina at the Rose Chateau, give her both evidence pieces, and then select the “Continue offering your aid” option.
- Enter the room and grab Allard by pressing R2/RT.
- Escape the Rose Chateau through the open window. If you previously selected the ”I’ll have any aid you can give” option as instructed, Captain Brant will be waiting for you and will help in your escape, so just follow him.
- Head back to her room at the Rose Chateau on the following day to romance Wilhelmina and complete the Every Rose Has Its Thorn quest.
