This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

There are two kinds of mushrooms in the game: the extremely common Mountain Morels and the aptly named glowing Brightshroom. You should be able to gather them as you run around and explore Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay. While both are mostly used as cooking ingredients, the latter can be utilized as crafting material as well. However, as you can expect, Brightshroom is rarer and can only be found in specific locations in Palia.

Around Palia, Brightshroom only spawns in Bahari Bay, specifically in the ruins of the ancient civilizations. That means the blue-colored mushroom can appear near broken pillars, statues, or any time-worn shrine wreckage.

Personally, we found two around the Ancient Aquaduct area. One is beside the statue at Flooded Steps and the other appears at the base of one of the archway’s pillars nearby. Locating this unique fungus isn’t hard as it glows in the dark. Nevertheless, their spawn can be rare and we don’t recommend waiting for them to show up in one location.

We have tried AFKing for 3 days at one spot and not even one mushroom appeared. As marked by the Palia Bahari Bay map above you should try looking for Brightshroom from Flooded Fortress to the Statue Garden.

Besides foraging in the wild, Brightshroom in Palia can also be purchased from Ashura’s Foraging Guild Store for 6 Foraging Medals. You can access Ashura’s Guild Store once you have reached Foraging Level 2.

Six different crafting items can be made using Brightshroom in Palia. Aside from being used as a crafting or furniture material, the Brightshroom works for any dish that needs mushrooms. You will also have to forage at least one of them to unlock the Kilima and Bahari Forage Collector Accomplishment.
