All Buckshot Roulette Endings (& How To Unlock Them)

It’s simple, really: it’s either you or the dealer

Russian roulette is already dark enough, but then Buckshot Roulette comes along to make it morose and morbid. I don’t know what’s worse: the person who invented the game or the person who created more rules to gamify it further. It’s like poker only with buckshots, knives, handcuffs and beer. That’s neither here nor there, but what does matter is will you be the one pointing the gun or staring down the barrel? In Buckshot Roulette, your deadly game only has two possible endings!

The most likely ending you’ll get in Buckshot Roulette your first time through is you taking one too many buckshots and dying. Maybe you got lucky and made it to the last round, but ultimately bit the dust.

Funnily enough, getting this ending takes considerably more work than just intentionally losing; in fact, you actually have to make an effort to win just so you can bomb at the right time. I’ll explain:

  • Play until you reach the third match.
  • The defibrillator’s wires are now cut.
  • Intentionally lose to unlock the “bad” ending.

The reason you play until the third match is because you’ll be revived every time you lose during first and secod one. It just keeps going and going and going. In Round 3, when the defibrillator’s wires are cut, that no longer applies because it’s sudden death now.

Upon your death, you’ll enter a kind of purgatory with white skies, wrought-iron gate, and spiky terrain.

The ending you hope to get in Buckshot Roulette is, of course, one in which you survive. You best the Dealer, win a bunch of cash, and hopefully spend it on some therapy. Unfortunately, it’s the tougher ending to get due to the game’s randomness, but there is a silver lining.

For starters, you can replay the second match over and over again, but the third round is sudden death. Lastly, items are introduced in the second match and onward, allowing you to potentially turn the game in your favor. I strongly recommend getting acquainted with all items in Buckshot Roulette!

Unless I knew the next buckshot was going to be a blank (or the odds were in my favor), I always chose to shoot the Dealer during the first match.

During the second and third match, my strategy didn’t change: I almost always chose to shoot the Dealer. However, with items being available, you want to set yourself up to deal as much damage as possible and prevent the Dealer from making moves, too, by way of handcuffs.

For example, the knife and magnifying glass are excellent combos because they let you see what the next shot will be. So, if you know the next buckshot is a live round, use the knife to shorten the barrel and deal double damage to the Dealer.

It may take a couple of tries, but clever use of your items is a surefire way of winning. And sometimes, you just get unlucky.
