Emma Watson may have fans on Instagram grumbling that the majority of her feed is dedicated to promoting the Prada Beauty brand she is signed to, but one share was decidedly not geared to plugging the Italian fashion label’s beauty branch.
In April 2023, Emma took to the platform to mark her birthday. In a celebratory share that saw her stunning in a mesh dress, the Harry Potter actress opened up about how the past year had affected her, revealing everything from her time in therapy to her love of pickleball as she discussed “being a woman.” While Emma did tag and thank Prada for the opportunity it has granted her, the post was about the actress herself and her personal growth. Fans have left her over 4 million likes.
Emma Watson Delights Instagram In Birthday Dress
Sharing a stunning snapshot of herself in a deep-cut, black dress with a sheer mesh-net panel affording a cleavage flash, Emma stretched out both arms for a freeing pose as she gazed ahead and sent out a peaceful, confident smile.
Showing off her slender frame as she rocked her dark locks down, the Hollywood star went for a “holy moly” in her caption as she told fans: “This is 33.” Continuing, Emma stated: “Before 29 I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn Return as a concept. Let’s just say that now I am well acquainted.”
Pickeball, Therapy, And ‘Being A Woman’
Continuing that she had “stepped away” from her “life,” Emma listed a series of achievements that included learning to surf, horseback riding, spending time with a therapist, and partnering with her brother for his Renais Gin brand. Noting that she’d lost her grandparents amid happier times that included a Harry Potter reunion, Emma said:
“I retraced my steps. I started a women’s environmental investment fund 📈. I played Pickleball with @sugarrayleonard and I even played golf and then tried to make all of my girlfriends learn too. I cut my thumb nail off on both hands trying to cook for myself and then was only able to do things one handed for months 🙈🔪👩🍳👋. I felt really sad and really p*ssed off about a lot of things. I learned more about love and being a woman.” Here, the Beauty & The Beast star added a flamenco dancer and heart emoji.
Admitting that finding herself has taken time, Emma concluded that it had taken her “three years” to find her “daily practice,” but that she can now sustain it on a daily basis. The actress also admitted that the snaps actually dated back one year prior, but that’s the “Covid Cocoon” for you.
