How To Increase Inventory Space in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Deeper pockets, please.

It’s ironic how Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes gives you 120 characters but only limited inventory space throughout your journey, especially during the game’s initial hours. While many hoarders will find this annoying, there are ways to get new inventory slots to store away your loot. Thankfully, you don’t need to do a lot of things other than recruiting a peculiar ally and building their shop, which isn’t too expensive if you’ve unlocked the right facilities around your HQ.

Increasing Inventory Size in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

To increase inventory space in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you must unlock Hishahn as part of the main story. This eastern-inspired locale is home to many new things, including important allies for your journey. One of them unlocks fast travel and another more inventory space; we’ll focus on the latter.

Recruiting Nell

Whether you used B’baba’s facility to learn about Nell or found them on your own, you can find them in Hishahn’s market. You can use the image below as a reference.

They might be difficult to spot as they are inside a bag behind a stall. However, as soon as you approach them, you’ll see the blue interaction arrow appear above them, allowing you to start the recruitment process. Once you do that, it is time to return to your HQ.

Building the Stowpack Shop

Once you recruit Nell, you’ll be closer to increasing your inventory space in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. To do so, you must head to your Drafting Studio at your HQ and build the Stowpack shop by spending 800 Headquarters Funds and 40 Pelts. After doing so, you’ll get the inventory upgrade automatically, and Nell will get a nice spot to stay at your base.

While Nell will be in your base, you don’t have to purchase anything from them. Just by upgrading their shop, you’ll get more space. You can open your inventory and check the level to see how many new slots you have. In my case, I had 60 slots at inventory level 4. You can keep upgrading it by unlocking the last level for your HQ, and you can add a bit more space if you place Nell as a supporting character in your group.

When playing, upgrading Nell’s shop should be your priority. While you can store many things in your HQ to free inventory space, certain endgame fights will require you to use a lot of items, and if you don’t have enough slots, it’ll be hard to bring objects. So, take a detour and grab the materials you need for a better backpack before heading for another quest.
