Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewanโs divorce was to be expected after the couple split in April 2018. Still, few would have predicted how drawn out and contentious it would be. Now, six years after they first parted ways, there are new claims that they are no closer to a resolution as they find themselves at odds over a financial settlement. Tatum and Dewan are still unable to agree on several things, including division of property and reimbursement claims.

A few celebrity divorces have been completely quickly and without issue (think back to Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, for example). However, this is not the case with Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewanโs divorce. They have been trying to come to an agreement since 2018. “Jenna is just looking for a fair resolution of community assets of the marriage, under California State Law,” a representative for the Take the Lead actress told People. “Jenna wants to reach a final determination and close this chapter on her life as soon as possible.”
The representative also informed the publication that his client and Tatum have attended “many settlement conferences.” There are two sides to every story, though. While it is believed that Dewan wants to move forward quickly, a Tatum insider with knowledge of the situation told People that things have “dragged on because Jennaโs actions and claims continuously contradict themselves.”
It is also claimed that Tatum’s work on Magic Mike has been a point of contention. “She says she wants a fair settlement but is ignoring all post-separation work Channing and his partners have done to enhance Magic Mike,” the insider said. “She keeps stalling negotiations but says she wants to resolve this.”
Despite Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce, fans still hope the former couple will find a way to resolve their differences and move forward peacefully. Especially because they share a daughter, Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum.
