While we all love rocking our Vault 76 jumpsuits, they don’t provide a lot of protection. For the inexperienced Vault Dwellers of Fallout 76, getting a Power Armor, such as the Excavator, is much better. This is one of the first and easiest to obtain in the game, provided you don’t mind getting your hands dirty with ores and fighting a few ghouls and scorched along the way. So, strap that helmet on, gather a few fusion cores, and prepare to get your first Power Armor.

Fallout 76: Excavator Power Armor Location
Rather than finding the armor lying around, players must craft the Excavator Power Armor in Fallout 76. To do so, you must tackle a quest, delve into an old mining facility, and gather a few materials. Here are the exact steps:
- Explore the map until you find a Garrahan Excavation poster.
- The easiest way to find one is by heading to any major town and heading to the train stations.
- This will activate the Miner Miracles quest.
- Head to the Ash Heap region and locate the Garrahan Mining Headquarters.
- Inside the building, head to the R&D room and loot the “Excavator Module Blueprints.” This will allow you to craft the Excavator Power Armor in Fallout 76.
While this is the way to obtain the blueprints, you still have a long way to go because you must craft every piece of the armor.
