Ermac Powers and Weaknesses in Mortal Kombat 1
Advantages:
- Ranged Attacks
- Teleportation
- High Damage Moves
Disadvantages:
- Lack of Combo Starters
- Slow Frame Moves
- Hard To Chain Combos
Ermac has some of the best basic combos in Mortal Kombat 1, allowing for high-damage moves with simple inputs. However, the Soul Collection doesn’t have the best combo starters, and some of his best moves are way too slow. Playing against a Liu Kang or Kung Lao master, it’s hard to beat their frames if you’re picking Ermac as your main. But you can still keep the fight strong with Ermac’s combo grapple, teleport, ranged, and powerful aerial moves.
All Ermac Special Moves
- Spirit Punch: Back – Forward – 1
- Witch Slam: Down – Back – 1
- Behind You: Back – Forward – 2
- Suspended Animation: Down – Back – 2 (Air – Can change position with directional buttons)
- Death Embrace: Forward – Down – Back – 3 (LT + Down to cancel)
- Hungry Hands: Down – Back – 3
- Shrieking Souls: Back – Forward – 3
- Shifting Spirits: Down – Left – 4
All of Ermac’s special moves can be amplified for more damage or different usages. For example, the amplified version of the Behind You will launch your opponent into the air.
