Here’s a public service announcement for all you budding dukes and barons: Sheep and Lamb aren’t food inย Manor Lordsย โ€” at least not initially.ย You’re going toย need Sheep inย Manor Lordsย as yourย base source of Clothing, which is a complicated process with a considerably long building chain involved. Getting Sheep for that isn’t simple, either. So here’s how to get Sheep inย Manor Lords.

Note that you’re going to need at least three unassigned families and at least 30-60 Wealth for this operation. With that in mind, follow this step-by-step process to set up your Sheep farm in Manor Lords.

  1. Open Construction > Trading and build a Livestock Trading Post. It has to be connected to a road, but there also has to be space for a Pasture behind it.
  2. Assign a family to the completed Livestock Trading Post.
  3. Then, open Construction > Farming, and build a Pasture behind or adjacent to the Livestock Trading Post.
  4. After that, go back again to Construction > Farming and build a Sheep Farm adjacent to either the Pasture or the Livestock Trading Post.
  5. Assign a family to the Sheep Farm.
  6. With the Sheep Farm set up, you’re going to need Sheep. Click on the Livestock Trading Post, and go to the building’s Trade tab.
  7. In the Livestock Trading Post’s Trade tab, click on the ‘No Trade’ button on the ‘Sheep’ line and change it to ‘Import.’
  8. Finally, in the same Trade tab, click on the “+” sign to set the amount of Sheep you want to buy from traders.

You’ll have to wait a bit for the traders to come to the Livestock Trading Post and sell you Sheep. However, they’ll get there eventually, and the Sheep you bought will appear on the nearby Pasture you built.

Depending on which Development tree perks you picked, the Sheep might even reproduce, resulting in Lambs. But more than anything, the Sheep are there to be harvested for Wool, not for food.

Sheep is expensive, however, and you might want to hold off on buying too many. Each Sheep costs 30 Wealth to purchase, which is quite steep and might bankrupt you easily if you’re not careful.

So, I recommend these tips about Sheep trading and Sheep Farm maintenance inย Manor Lords.

  • At most,ย buy only two Sheepย early on. They can reproduce, which results in more Sheep.
  • You don’t need a big Pasture for only a few Sheep.
  • If you have Lambs, they can grow into Sheep, and you can sell the surplus Sheep you now have in the Livestock Trading Post. Just set the desired Surplus to control the supply.
