This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

After months of speculations and leaks, the official news regarding Call of Duty 2024 is finally here! Not only does it show the reveal date of Call of Duty 2024, but it also teases a new title that replaces Black Ops Gulf War. A new logo with redacted info has been teased by Xbox, and it points toward a shocking title for the next Black Ops game.

Recent leaks by dataminers have revealed too much for the next Call of Duty game, including the name of the weapons, some of the main characters, and most importantly, a logo. According to The Verge, this logo does in fact relate to Call of Duty 2024, and with that confirmed, we have got ourselves a reveal date for the next Black Ops game!

We’re going to be talking about games of course

June 9, 2024, is the day that we’ll be watching the showcase of the new Gears of War game, Starfield‘s DLC expansion, and more with Xbox. But “immediately after” we’ll have to stay frosty for the reveal of Call of Duty 2024. However, this is not all the info that Xbox is giving us with this teaser.

There are two redacted pieces above and below the Call of Duty 2024 logo, and if you look closely, very tiny parts of the title are visible. Most importantly, if you take a look at the upper right of the bottom text, its color is orange; just like the other numbered Black Ops titles.

Thankfully, The Gaming Revolution has solved this puzzle, and it looks like it is indeed Black Ops V! This is mind-blowing after all the leaks about the Black Ops Gulf War and the game being set in the early 90s. Not to change directions here, though, the game might still take place after the Cold War era, but flashes forward to the future featuring David Mason is now very welcome with this new title.

It seems that Treyarch's Call of Duty: 2024 may actually just be called "Black Ops V".

If we look at the new redacted teaser from Microsoft "Black Ops Gulf War" seems too long to fit and there's slight orange on the right that fits perfectly for a "V".

Technically, Black Ops… pic.twitter.com/DC12YcEWUN

Since Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, every single CoD game’s title that came after was leaked months before the reveal. And if this game is called Black Ops V, this is the first time after many years that we’re left shocked by dataminers digging wrong info about the next CoD‘s title.
