Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll’s Relationship Timeline
Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll first met in 2012 at the Ryder Cup where she had been working as a transport official. After McIlroy overslept due to an alarm mix-up and nearly missed his tee time, he confessed Stoll helped him get a police escort to the course. Eventually, the duo became friends and remained platonic for a while as McIlroy was dating Tennis player Caroline Wozniacki. However, in 2014, McIlroy and Stoll started dating, a few months after he and Wozniacki broke things off. Following the start of their romance, the pair kept things quiet, avoiding any public appearances as a couple.
After three years of dating, the duo finally tied the knot on April 22, 2017, in a lavish ceremony at Ashford Castle in County Mayo, Ireland. In 2020, the couple welcomed their beautiful daughter, Poppy Kennedy. In the following years, Stoll was the perfect wife, supporting her husband on the golf course. She even caddied for him at the Masters Par 3 contest in 2023. Given how beautiful their union appeared, fans were convinced the duo would spend a lifetime together. Unfortunately, McIlroy and Stoll’s time as a couple has ended. Now, the pair will focus on their careers and being amazing parents to their daughter.
