Your vampire powers and spells can only take you so far in V Rising 1.0. You’ll eventually have to rely again on the good old-fashioned pointy sticks. The best among them are the Legendary Weapons or Legendary Ancestral Weapons to be more precise. Obtaining them is quite a grind and to shorten that process, here’s how to get Legendary Weapons in V Rising 1.0 release.
Where to Get Legendary Weapons in V Rising 1.0
Unlike Rare Ancestral and Epic Ancestral Weapons, you can’t just directly purchase the Legendary Weapons in the Vampire Merchant in the Ruins of Mortium using Stygian Shards. You might get one from an Epic Ancestral Weapons Vampire Merchant when buying but the chance is too low for the Greater Stygian Shard cost.
There’s only one semi-consistent way of obtaining Legendary Weapons.
- Slay Level 74+ V Blood Bosses to get Shattered Legendary Weapons in V Rising.
You’ll still need to rebuild them afterward using the Ancestral Forge, mind you. Shattered Legendary Weapons require the following to be repaired.
- 4x Onyx Tear
- 1x Primal Blood Essence
Additionally, while you can, on paper, obtain Shattered Legendary Weapons from Level 74+ V Blood bosses, the chances are low. After all, Legendary Weapons are the best of the best and are Level 30 gear.
You’ll have to repeatedly slay Level 74+ V Blood bosses for a chance to obtain a random Shattered Legendary Weapon in V Rising 1.0. However, there’s a more efficient way to farm these Legendary Weapon fragments.
Fastest Way to Get Legendary Weapons in V Rising 1.0
These V Blood bosses are all Level 74+ and have a good chance to drop the weapons. They are also relatively easy to fight compared to the Soul Shard bosses.

You can rotate between these bosses or you can just grind the tier 2 red Rift Incursions in the Ruins of Mortium (east). We have a guide on how to run Rift Incursions.
At the end of each rift in a red Rift Incursion, an echo of a V Blood boss will spawn and it will usually be Level 80+. You can slay these and they also have a chance to drop Legendary Weapons in V Rising.
Here’s a step-by-step process.
- Be at least Gear Level 80 or close to it.
- Build an Eye of Mortium.
- Wait for a red Rift Incursion to appear in the Ruins of Mortium.
- Finish as many Rift Incursion areas as you can before the duration expires. Slay as many V Blood echo bosses as you can during the event’s duration.
Of course, all these methods still rely on chance and RNG, hence the grind. Once you get a Legendary Weapon, don’t let it go.
