Risk of Rain 2’s update, The Devotion, adds several new features to the game including a completely new map. Verdant Falls is chock-full of new enemies and an environment that is equally beautiful and terrifying. Since the update has officially dropped, it’s time to access the new Verdant Falls map in Risk of Rain 2 and get into the thick of things!
How To Get To Verdant Falls in Risk of Rain 2
Verdant Falls is a Stage 1 map, meaning that you will randomly spawn after starting your campaign in Risk of Rain 2. Personally, I jumped in and out a few times until I finally started my run in Verdant Falls. It didn’t take too many restarts and even then, the process is so quick that it wouldn’t have mattered if I needed to do it a few more times.
The lush and foreign-feeling green pastures of Verdant Falls are host to several enemies and bosses that you’ll encounter; especially if you’ve had to retry as many times as I have. Of all of the maps you can experience, this one was the most aesthetically pleasing to fight through. I would find myself getting lost in the exploration rather than in looking for the gate to move on.
All Verdant Falls Enemies
There aren’t any enemies or bosses that are specific to this area. Whenever you activate the Verdant Falls gate, you’ll fight against a different boss including the Stone Titan, Clay Dunestrider, and others.
The enemies you can encounter on this map include:
- Greater Wisps
- Lesser Wisps
- Beetles
- Stone Golems
- Lemurians
- Gips (With Survivors of the Void DLC)
- Geeps (With Survivors of the Void DLC)
All Spawn Locations
There are two locations you can spawn into when landing in Verdant Falls. I was able to confirm this by quitting runs and starting over in Verdant Falls over and over again. You can either spawn on the coast of a lake or on the coast of a small river that has several bouncing flowers around it. The second spawn location is my favorite because it gives you more opportunities to explore faster using the bouncing flowers.
Risk of Rain 2 is available on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC.
