This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Artifacts of Devotion and Delusion are pretty useful. One gives you the opportunity to turn enemies into allies while the other gives you a chance to earn previously earned items again. Both of these artifacts are locked behind puzzle codes, so I wrote up how to bypass them and get through each of their respective trials in Risk of Rain 2’s The Devotion update. Let’s dive into both the Artifact of Devotion code and the Artifact of Delusion code as well as what the artifacts do.

Where To Unlock Artifact of Devotion in Risk of Rain 2

To unlock the Artifact of Devotion, you need to power through a campaign until you reach Sky Meadow in Stage 5. Here, there is a platform of land that appears as girthy wires leading to a portal. Beside it is a grid of switches where you need to input the following code:

  • Top Row: Pyramid, Diamond, Pyramid.
  • Middle Row: Cube, Diamond, Cube.
  • Bottom Row: Diamond, Pyramid, Diamond.

With the code put in, activate the portal using the computer next to the puzzle. Upon entering the portal, you’ll arrive at Bulwark’s Ambry. Here, a challenge called the Trials of Devotion will begin that asks you to collect Artifact Keys while defeating enemies. Once you bring enough Artifact Keys to the sphere that contains the artifact, it’ll open up.

What Does the Artifact of Devotion Do?

The Artifact of Devotion turns all drones and turrets into Lemurian eggs. You can hatch these eggs using various items which then imbue into the newborn Lemurian. Several Lemurians can be hatched at the same time, allowing you to accrue an army of the weird lizards.

Where to Unlock Artifact of Delusion in Risk of Rain 2

The Artifact of Delusion can be found using the same puzzle used to obtain the Artifact of Devotion. Insert the Artifact of Delusion code at the Sky Meadow portal puzzle:

  • Top Row: Cube, Sphere, Cube.
  • Middle Row: Sphere, Sphere, Sphere.
  • Bottom Row: Cube, Pyramid, Cube.

Inputting the code will also take you to Bulwark’s Ambry upon entering the portal. Same as with the Artifact of Devotion, you’ll be asked to fight against several enemies and collect Artifact Keys in the Trials of Delusion. After completing the trial, you’ll have access to the artifact.

What Does the Artifact of Delusion Do?

The Artifact of Delusion is actually pretty fun. When it’s active and after you’ve completed a Stage’s teleporter event, all of the chests that you opened on that stage will close. When you go back to those chests, you’ll be faced with a little game that asks you to remember which item was in the chest out of three that are presented to you.

Nothing happens if you choose the wrong item. However, if you choose correctly, the item will drop and allow you to collect it again.
