As of December 2023, the statement remained on the British royal family’s website, per Newsweek. However, the link is evidently unavailable at this time, confirming the royals deleted it silently without raising brows. The deleted statement is just one of a handful of ways in which the royal family has ostracized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, without having to utter the words.

The Royal Family Gradually Oust Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Back in March, the British royal family shortened the official profiles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the website. In the place of a bio of sorts, the website mentions Harry and Meghan’s step back from their duties as senior royals in 2020. The site directs patrons to their personal website via a link for more information on them.

Prior to that, the Sussexes were evicted from their UK home, Frogmore Cottage, in June 2023, following the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare. Buckingham Palace confirmed this move in the annual financial report, noting that Harry and Meghan paid for the “expenditure incurred by the Sovereign Grant” on renovations. Additionally, royal commentators have claimed the royal family, particularly Prince William, have disowned his bother and have no intention of wasting “emotional energy” on him after causing so much hurt.

Prince William and King Charles’ failure to reunite with Harry on his latest UK visit validates these claims.
