Warner Bros. studios released the second part in it’s shattered alliances series of trailers earlier this week for the upcoming comic themed fighting game Injustice 2. The sequel continues where the last left off, revealing the Regime has returned.
The trailer reveals The Green Lantern will join Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. Jordan was one of the heroes that sided with Superman in the first game but revealed that he “Is not that guy anymore,” and that the guardians put him through hell to prove he should get it back.

Other important confirmed characters joining Batman are Oliver Queen as The Green Arrow and Kent Nelson as Dr. Fate. As a huge fan of the injustice series, it’s awesome to see that Dr. Fate will be getting some love and that we’ll be able to deal out justice playing as him.
The trailer also shows Grodd, Bane, Captain Cold, Cheetah, Poison Ivy and Catwoman on a stage in front of a bunch of people cheering for them. It can be assumed that they will be on Superman’s side, given all of their histories as notorious villains – especially with that somewhat villainess looking flag behind them – but the series has shown that not all villains sided with Supes, as Harley Quinn can be seen walking away with Black Canary while talking to Batman.
It should be interesting to note that one of the final scenes in the trailer is Bruce walking away from Clark as he yells “This is my fight Bruce you need me!” while still encased in the bubble he was put in at the end of last game. Speculation points to the fact that Brainiac will be the game’s main villain and could be the one to revive the Regime.
The fighting game is poised for release on May 17, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. For more information and updates on Injustice 2, be sure to check back to the site for all of your Nerdy News!
