How I Met Your Mother actor Nick Pasqual faces attempted murder charges for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend and fleeing to Mexico. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that the 34-year-old actor faces one count each of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse/cohabitant/fiance/boyfriend/girlfriend/child’s parent. Subsequent reports confirmed that the actor allegedly stabbed his estranged ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn.
According to the reports, Nick broke into the victim’s home in Los Angeles at about 4:30 am on Thursday, May 23. There, he encountered Allie who was home at the time, stabbed her multiple times and fled the scenes. LAPD officers responded to the scene at about 4:42 a.m., and found the makeup artist in her home, inflicted with multiple stab wounds. Nick Pasqual’s attack on his ex-girlfriend left her in dire need of medical attention.
First responders transported her to an area hospital in stable condition, and she has since undergone three surgeries. Meanwhile, Nick Pasqual was eventually detained at the U.S./Mexico border in Texas, supposedly attempting to flee to Mexico. He remains under custody and faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment if convicted.
Nick Pasqual’s Ex-Girlfriend Filed a Restraining Order Against Him
Three days before the attempted murder, Nick Pasqual’s ex-girlfriend filed a restraining order against him. Court documents confirm, that the two had an altercation, where Allie struggled to break free from her then-boyfriend during a sexual encounter. However, Nick turned violent, grabbing her by the neck and slamming her against the wall. The encounter led her to file a restraining order against him, to keep the actor away from herself, and her friend Christie White.
Christie, who was in the house the night of the attack opened up about the incident in an interview with a local radio station. According to her, Nick Pasqual stabbed his ex-girlfriend between 20 and 30 times. She found her after the attack and called for help. Having undergone several surgeries since then, Allie Shehorn is well on her way to recovery, remaining in high spirits throughout the ordeal.
