After the catastrophic event called the Lament, the world of Solaris-3 becomes plagued by Tacet Discords. Although they are monsters, Resonators can utilize their power by turning them into Echoes. Besides increasing your unit stats, Resonators can even temporarily shape-shift into their primary Echo. As you progress through Wuthering Waves, you want to start leveling up your Echoes by feeding them EXP via Sealed Tubes. This upgrade material can only be obtained by completing certain dungeons or challenges.
How To Level Up Echo in Wuthering Waves
Unfortunately, you cannot passively level up your Echo by fighting monsters. The only way to get Echo EXP in Wuthering Waves is by feeding Sealed Tubes via the Upgrade screen. Here is the list of all Echo upgrade materials:
- Basic Sealed Tube – Provides 500 EXP.
- Medium Sealed Tube – Provides 1,000 EXP.
- Advanced Sealed Tube – Provides 2,000 EXP.
- Premium Sealed Tube – Provides 5,000 EXP.
How To Get Sealed Tubes
Luckily, there are a ton of dungeons and challenges that drop Echo EXP in Wuthering Waves. Here is the full list:
- Tacet Field Cleanup
- Boss Challenge
- Weekly Challenge
- Missions
- Treasure Chests
- Pioneer Podcast
The best way to get more Sealed Tubes is by completing Tacet Field Cleanup. They are basically artifact dungeons, where you can obtain more Echoes and Premium Sealed Tubes. You may also get a small number of this upgrade material via Boss and Weekly Challenges. However, the highest drop you will get is Advanced Sealed Tube, which only provides 2,000 Echo EXP.
Completing main missions and side quests will also grant you some Sealed Tubes. Treasure chests in the overworld may also contain this Echo EXP material, but they are not that reliable. Lastly, Pioneer Podcast rewards also give you a small number of this item.
In short, Tacet Field Cleanup is the most cost-effective way to get more Echo EXP. Not only will you obtain Sealed Tubes and Echoes, but you will also gain Tuners. After leveling up your Echo to certain thresholds, you can give them extra sub-stats.
You need 10 Tuners to add one sub-attribute to your Echo. The higher your Echo’s rarity, the rarer the Tuner you need. For instance, you must use 10 Premium Tuners to add one sub-stat to a 5-star Echo. Note that you can only tune 3-star Echoes or higher, and you can’t upgrade anything with lower rarities.
