The Necramech in Warframe is one of the prerequisites before you can play one of the main quests in the story. But even beyond that, the Necramech is a fun way to spice up your game. It’s essentially a mech suit with its own set of abilities and it’s tankier than your usual Warframe. Getting a free Necramech in Warframe, however, is quite the challenge. Luckily, all challenges in this game are surmountable, and here’s how to get a free Necramech in Warframe.
Where to Get a Necramech in Warframe
There are certain progress-gated requirements you need to unlock before you can start farming a Necramech– a free one (without spending money or Platinum).
I’ll be listing them down, make sure you have these unlocked:
- Complete the Earth to Mars Junction.
- Complete The War Within quest.
- Unlock and finish the Heart of Deimos quest.
- Build up your Standing with the Necraloid Syndicate in the Necralisk to at least Rank 3 (for component crafting).
Achieving all those requirements will make the Voidrig Necramech and its blueprints accessible to your account.
The Heart of Deimos quest itself will reward you with the Voidrig Blueprint and you can start with this as the first step on your journey to building your own Necramech.
Crafting Your Own Necramech in Warframe
You can check the requirements for the Voidrid via the Voidrig Blueprint which should now be accessible in your Foundry once you’ve hit the requirements I mentioned above.
Crafting your own Necramech is similar to crafting a Warframe, you need to craft the parts first before you can craft the whole, actual thing.
Blueprints for Necramech Crafting
Before you grind for crafting materials and components, you first need to purchase these following blueprints for the Voidrig parts— you can buy all of them from Loid from the Necraloid Syndicate:
- Voidrig Casing Blueprint
- Voidrig Engine Blueprint
- Voidrig Capsule Blueprint
- Voidrig Weapon Pod Blueprint
Additionally, you’re going to want to purchase these additional material blueprints from Otak (Loid’s alter ego, also in the Necralisk) for other components:
- Adramal Alloy Blueprint
- Stellated Necrathene Blueprint
- Tempered Baholite Blueprint
- Cabochon Embolos Blueprint
- Devolved Namalon Blueprint
- Thaumic Distillate Blueprint
- Trapezium Xenorhast Blueprint
That’s quite a lot, but those blueprints are all in the Necralisk. You need all of those for crafting the Necramech. The funny thing is, those “components” also need other components to be crafted.
So if you aren’t dizzy from the requirements yet, I’ll be presenting further crafting tables below for each of the aforementioned Voidrig parts.
To simplify things, here’s a table of the crafting components for the Voidrig parts and how to obtain them. You can get all of them from Necralisk and the Cambion Drift.
Voidrig Casing Blueprint
Crafting Component | Location |
Damaged Necramech Casing | Can drop from Isolation Vault bounty enemies issued by Mother |
Adramal Alloy | Crafted from Adramalium ore from Cambion Drift (yellow vein) |
Stellated Necrathene | Crafted from Necrathene ore from Cambion Drift (teal vein) |
Cranial Foremount | Fillet the Myxoistomata fish via Daughter, obtain the fish during Vome in Caves in the Cambion Drift |
Voidrig Engine Blueprint
Crafting Component | Location |
Damaged Necramech Engine | Can drop from Isolation Vault bounty enemies issued by Mother |
Tempered Bapholite | Crafted from Bapholite ore from Cambion Drift (yellow vein) |
Cabochon Embolos | Crafted from Embolos ore from Cambion Drift (teal vein) |
Biotic Filter | Fillet the Aquapulmo/Duroid fish via Daughter, obtain the fish during Vome in Caves in the Cambion Drift |
Voidrig Capsule Blueprint
Crafting Component | Location |
Damaged Necramech Pod | Can drop from Isolation Vault bounty enemies issued by Mother |
Devolved Namalon | Crafted from Namalon ore from Cambion Drift (yellow vein) |
Scintillant | Can drop from Isolation Vault bounty enemies issued by Mother |
Spinal Core Section | Fillet the Chondricord/Vitreospina fish via Daughter, obtain the fish during Fass & Vome in Caves in the Cambion Drift |
Voidrig Weapon Pod Blueprint
That’s all of them. You’re going to need dozens of these ores and fish parts, by the way. Alternatively, you can also trade with other players for the Damaged Necramech parts if you want to cut down the reliance on RNG and mining or fishing.
On a final note, you’re also going to need to wait three more days once you’ve acquired all the components, parts, and materials. The Voidrig or any other Necramech has a crafting time of 72 hours or three days. If you’ve come this far, however, what’s three more days?
Warframe is available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
