In a surprising turn of events, Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy appear entangled in a feud. Recall that in 2015, the pair cooked up a storm when they collaborated on the hit song “Me, Myself, and I”. While the track remains popular, the singers’ relationship has turned sour. On Thursday, Rexha revealed where she stood with the rapper in a strongly worded Instagram story post. Although she swiftly took down the post, it didn’t go unnoticed by fans and media outlets. Bebe Rexha’s deleted post featured a screenshot of a text message she received from someone about potentially shooting some social media content with G-Eazy.
In the caption of Bebe Rexha’s deleted post, the 34-year-old gave a scathing response to the request. “@g_eazy you have my number. Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser. You’re lucky people are liking you again,” she wrote per Billboard. Rexha threatened to reveal the terrible things G-Eazy had done and how badly he treated her. The singer also called “Me, Myself and I”, G-Eazy’s only real hit, before adding, “Btw the answer is no. Hope you good.” Following the outburst, Rexha took down the post, but she soon returned to the subject.
In a follow-up post shared on X, the songwriter revealed the reason she took down the post. “Someone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic,” she wrote. Rexha noted that trauma could lead anyone to react the way she did. She said the period after she collaborated with G-Eazy was traumatizing.
However, despite deleting the post, Rexha didn’t take back her words. “I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said,” she concluded. Fans are still awaiting a response from the record producer, but in the meantime, they can consider the bridge between Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy burned.
