So when one fan made racist comments about his co-stars, he responded.
Eric Braeden Responds to The Young and the Restless Fan’s Racist Remarks
Soap opera stars use social media to promote their shows and interact with fans. However, like many celebrities, they’re prone to online negativity from internet trolls. Recently, a soap fan on X with the username @ghyrbbfan1974 has created a stir.
The user harassed General Hospital star Tabyana Ali with a series of racist tweets. Following the online attacks, Ali wrote a message on X.
To anyone that hates me. That’s absolutely fine. I don’t know you and you don’t know me but regardless I’m sending you peace, safety, and prosperity…I also pray you touch some grass, see the sun, eat a delicious meal, and find something to do.

General Hospital also came to Ali’s defense with a statement saying they do “not tolerate hatred and bigotry of any kind. Racism has no place in Port Charles.”
As it turns out, Ali wasn’t the only star that the X user targeted. The fan tweeted a photo The Young and the Restless stars Sean Dominic, Christel Khalil, and Bryton James. In the caption she wrote:
The three faces that are destroying the show. They all think their high and mighty when they’re not, can’t wait for someone to put these slaves in their place. #YR
The post went viral and soon reached Eric Braeden’s feed. As expected, the actor was furious and responded to the racist comments.
These three actors are dear colleagues of mine; they have more class than you LOW LIFE can imagine! We are going to block your racist a**, you got that, b****??!!
Fans immediately filled Braeden’s comment section with praise and gratitude for speaking out. “You, kind sir, are truly the best!” wrote one follower.

After being called out by Braeden, the racist fan has made their X account private. General Hospital and its cast blocked her, and The Young and the Restless probably will follow suit. Much like how Victor Newman does, when it comes to those he cares about, Braeden isn’t afraid to fight back.
