Demi Lovato was both praised and criticized for her bathroom selfie last summer, one showing her in a stylish black bodysuit. Flaunting her curves as she reminded fans of her toned waistline and legs, the 31-year-old singer sizzled for her Instagram share, one quickly making headlines.
When The Daily Mail covered Demi’s post, users quickly accused the pop star of having used weight loss drug Ozempic, with a popular reply slamming the former Disney star for showing a “thigh gap.” Demi, who has bravely documented her eating disorder battles as she works her way to health, is known for being body-positive. The pop sensation has, on multiple occasions, shared unedited shots to her social media as she continues to prove that being her real, authentic self is best.
Demi Lovato Shows Off Figure On Instagram
Posing in front of a large mirror and holding her smartphone in one hand, Demi modeled a low-cut, form-fitting black bodysuit that highlighted her womanly curves.
Backed by a large walk-in shower and hanging bathrobes, the “Confident” singer sizzled as she flashed a slight thigh gap, wearing her dark hair styled into a classy bob while showcasing her many tattoos. She even matched her digitally inserted black heart emoji to her one-piece.
Demi also reminded fans of her love of glam as a countertop in front of her came adorned with tons of makeup brushes.
Sparks Anger With Thigh Gap
Over 170 comments were left as fans on The Daily Mail reacted to Demi’s selfie.
Sarcastically accusing Demi of slimming down with Ozempic use, one user wrote: “Where are her gym photos – the ones that prove she lost it by working out and eating ” clean”. Ozempic — who me?”
Meanwhile, over 150 fans agreed with a comment reading: “Ozempic …..And the visibly photoshopped thigh gap……..cause you either have one genetically or you don’t….Demi doesn’t!” Even more popular was a user stating: “Another one who suddenly lost 40 pounds in the last year…OOOOZEMPIC!”
Demi has never admitted to using Ozempic, although celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Rebel Wilson have. Lovato has, however, spoken out about her rehab stints and efforts to overcome her eating disorder, one that began before she was a teenager.
In May, Demi proved she’s the picture of health as she updated her Instagram all smiles in a one-piece bathing suit while posing from a boat. The IG post marked the star’s Hawaii travels, also earning her over 1 million fan likes.
