We are less than a month away from the release of Prey, the highly anticipated science fiction, first-person shooter from developer Arkane Studios and publisher Bethesda. Ahead of the game’s launch, Bethesda has announced that a demo of Prey will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 and

In Prey, players will experience the life of Morgan Yu, a prominent scientist on the Talos I space station, who encounters a variety of aliens that have escaped confinement. As Yu, maneuver through the ship and uncover clues that will shed light on your dark past. This, along with other dangerous situations on board is sure to make for a terrifying and memorable gameplay experience.
It has become popular to have players create their own character or, more commonly, to have the choice between a male or female protagonist. Bethesda has previously stated that Prey will also follow this method, as players can choose whether they want to play as a male or female version of Yu. This decision also adds great replay value to Prey, as in-game events will unfold differently depending on which character is chosen.
With aliens that can camouflage themselves into random objects, to the very weapon that Morgan Yu wields to defeat them, it’s clear based on the previews we’ve seen that Prey is more than just your average fps. What’s unclear, however, is whether players will be able to experience the full capabilities of what the game has to offer during the demo, as there are fantastical elements that may only be available with the full version of the game.
