The 27-year-old is well on her way to earning a spot in the Paris Olympics next month, competing among other prolific gymnasts to become a part of team U.S.A. While the final selection is yet to be reviewed, Simone scored a big shot last week, earning a spot on the good books of the most celebrated singer.
During her gymnastics trials on Friday, Simone Biles set her floor routine to the Taylor Swift song, Ready For It. The performance caught the attention of the singer, who took to X, formerly Twitter, to react, voicing just how impressed she was. Responding to a footage of the routine which the NBC Olympics shared, the icon wrote,
“Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho.”
Simone Biles retweeted the comment on Saturday, recognizing the significance of gaining the thumbs-up from Taylor Swift. The clip showed Simone Biles ease into her gymnastics routine at the U.S. trial, executing various moves set to Ready For It. She dared the triple-double routine, executing it flawlessly which earned her applause from the spectators.

Is Simone Biles Going to Paris?
Having given an electrifying performance, the accolade from Taylor was truly well-deserved. Simone outperformed the other contestants in the floor routine, earning 14.85, the highest score that day. Although the US Gymnastics body has yet to officially announce the finalists representing the United States in Paris next month, Simone’s ticket is almost certain.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has kept busy herself, acing the European stop of her Eras tour. During her London stop, the star had the honor of entertaining the future King of England Prince William on his 42nd birthday. The prince attended one of the concerts at the sold-out Wembley stadium in the company of his two older kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
