One of the greatest things about the gaming community is just how innovative gaming folk can be. Whether it’s the modding, streaming or inventors. At EGX Rezzed 2017, I bumped into James; the creative mind behind a new product called the Vamtor LD10.

When James talked me through just how the idea for the product came about, I found the story struck a chord with me. Let’s face it, sometimes there just isn’t room for the things you want. Not everyone has enough space to be able to dedicate to all of our gaming preferences. I know I can’t get a Street Fighter II arcade cabinet for this very reason!

You can use it with VR!

When I’m playing my games, I aim for full immersion. Whether that’s having a dark room for a horror game or getting the racing pedals out for driving games, I want to play the way I want to, but the biggest obstacle is always space and comfort.

The Vamtor LD10 aims to transform your gaming experience by enabling you to use most gaming wheel and flight stick controls wherever you want to, even on your couch! This means goodbye bad back from all the hunching I’d be doing over the table, and I don’t need to worry about dropping my peripherals on the floor after doing a terrible impression of a balancing act.

This is what the Vamtor LD10 looks like when set up.

The top deck provides a universal mounting surface for which most peripherals will fit securely whilst the bottom deck fits comfortably on your legs. The device comes with leg straps for stability which only needs to be loosely tightened. The leg straps will remove any effort to keep it in position so you can have hours of great gaming without discomfort.

As well as the base unit, there is a detachable side desk which can be placed on either side. The side desk is intended to be used for your gear shifter, mouse, additional controls (should you need them) or even just for snacks! The final production version will include pre-drilled holes and fitting kits for controls that require bolting down.

Here’s James showing us how it’s done!

The LD10 is ready to take a huge range of different controls, but for the full compatibility list click here. The Kickstarter campaign for this product launched on 23rd April 2017.
