Is Doja Cat trying to start a rap beef, or is she being impersonated? The rapper recently caused a stir after going on a tweeting spree to promote a cryptocurrency coin. While the move to endorse crypto coins isn’t unusual for celebrities, Doja’s posts raised suspicion when she attacked two powerhouse female rappers.
After not tweeting on X for about a week, the Woman artist returned to the platform on Monday. She requested her fans to buy her coin $DOJA. Alongside the message, she shared a meme of her holding a sword as though to threaten people. In a follow-up tweet, Doja called out fellow rapper Iggy Azalea. “F**k that stupid b***h @IGGYAZALEA and buy $DOJA,” the tweet read. It is unknown if there is a back story to the cyber attack. However, Azalea is currently promoting a celebrity-backed coin of her own called $MOTHER.
Doja then proceeded to also call out Nicki Minaj in a separate tweet. “Where you at, boo @NICKIMINAJ,” she wrote. Many of Minaj’s fans interpreted the tweet as a call to war. “Leave the queen of rap ALONE,” one fan warned, while another penned, “Interesting it’s always Nicki Minaj yall go after.” Others, however, suspected that Doja’s account was hacked. “Oh, she hacked y’all. Don’t pay doja cat, no mind,” urged one internet user, while another wrote, “You guys realize she’s hacked, right?”
Iggy Azalea Comes To Doja Cat’s Rescue
It seems Azalea sided with the theory of a hacked account and took to X to issue a statement. The “Fancy” rapper assured fans that all is well with her and Doja Cat. “Get rugged if yall want, but I’m cool w that girl irl, so yall fucked up w that tweet hackers,” she wrote. When a fan asked what happened, Azalea answered, “They hacked Doja Cat n have posted a shitcoin scam.”
The Paint The Town Red “artist has since confirmed that she was hacked. In an Instagram Story update, she wrote, “My Twitter’s been hacked. These messages are not for me.”
