A TikToker expressed displeasure that Donald Trump escaped the assassination attempt on his life. The politician stepped out for a campaign rally on Saturday evening in Butler, Pennsylvania. However, the event turned into a panic zone when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire with an AR-style rifle. While the assassination attempt was a failure, Trump didn’t leave the location unscathed. Footage showed blood dripping down the 78-year-old’s right ear after a bullet grazed past it. Amid the troubling incident, many have expressed relief and happiness about Trump being safe and sound.
However, a netizen has openly expressed her frustration about the suspect’s miss. On Sunday, X account Libs of TikTok shared a video showing the TikToker’s meltdown over the failed Donald Trump assassination attempt. “I just found out about this s**t, it just happened, I haven’t even had a second to process,” the TikToker began while driving. Visibly frustrated, she continued, screaming:
“You’re telling me somebody finally had the balls to bring a pew pew [gun] and he MISSED!!!! We were a second away, we were a centimeter away from half of the problem being gone and you MISSED!!!”
At the end of the clip, the TikTok user revealed she was sure it was a white man behind the trigger. The video quickly amassed thousands of views and sparked widespread outrage. Many slammed the TikToker for her reaction to Donald Trump’s escape. They also called her a mentally ill liberal woman. “She says that she just knows it was a ‘white man’ attached to that trigger. Liberal women are literally mentally ill,” one fan wrote. A second person commented, “This is clearly an incitement for violence. She needs to sit behind bars. Those leftists are the most dangerous people in America right now.” A third X user added, “This is evil. There is no other word for it,” while a fourth shared, “Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.” Some people also called on the FBI to investigate the TikToker. Others noted that such rhetoric was unacceptable and harmful, regardless of political differences.
