Family names hold power in Roblox Hunter Era, granting a variety of beneficial buffs. They’re not always the greatest, though; in fact, a few are downright terrible or, at the very least, become useless after a while. However, most of the family names offer something worth spinning for, like extra health, stamina, and even more experience. Since you’re getting a random name every time you roll, you can use our Hunter Era tier list to see where yours lands.
S-Tier Family Names in Hunter Era
- Krueger (Rare)
How in the world would a rare family name, which is just above common names, be better than legendary and epic names? Well, because it’s the only one that makes a massive difference. With the Krueger family name, you get a 10% Nen damage buff. That’s massive, and interestingly enough, it’s the only one of its kind. If you get this, and there’s a good chance you will, don’t replace it.
A-Tier Family Names in Hunter Era
- Ryodan (Common)
Percentages are fun, aren’t they? Tell me, would you want an extra 100 health or 5% health? Out of 100, that’s only an extra five HP if you go with the percentage, but out of 1000, that’s an extra 100 health. And since you’ll be pumping up your health stat constantly, that’s what makes Ryodan a strong option. That 5% extra health takes time to pay off, but when it does, it does!
- Bellam (Common)
Of course, if you want to focus on damage, you want the Bellam family name in Hunter Era. Instead of health, you gain 5% more stamina, which is another stat you’ll be dumping points into. Maybe Nen abilities can be cast with, say, an extra 100 stamina, assuming you reach 1000 stamina, which you will.
B-Tier Family Names in Hunter Era
- Paradinight (Rare)
Paradinight is in the same boat as Netero, in the sense that it’s much more useful after you’ve gained a few levels. Only Paradnight grants 10% more yen instead of experience. It’s got a lot more staying power, and if I had to choose between Paradinight or Netero, I’d go with Paradinight.
C-Tier Family Names in Hunter Era
- Netero (Epic)
The Netero family name is an excellent choice for grinding experience since it grants a 10% bonus experience. However, for the first 70 levels or so, it won’t be as beneficial. Only after you start gaining a few thousand experience per quest does it really ramp up. You’ll get to max level a little faster, but honestly, you gain plenty of experience without it. And when you reach max level, it’s just a dead name, anyway.
- Zoldyck (Legendary)
The Zoldyck family name sounds good on paper. Who wouldn’t want to move 15% faster and have faster stamina regeneration? Except it’s just a 7% increase to stamina regeneration, which is negligible. Furthermore, you’ll end up stacking so much stamina that you’ll just dash everywhere anyway, so you won’t be doing a lot of running and walking.
How to Spin For a New Family Name
Unlike spinning for a new Nen, Hatsu, and Hatsu color, spinning for a new family name isn’t done by speaking with the Nen Master. Instead, you have to go back to the main menu. You can head back to the main menu quickly by selecting Main Menu in the top-left corner.
From the main menu, choose the Family option. It’s at the very bottom of the list. You’ll see on the right the chances of winning each name—that’s also their rarity. The number of spins you have is just above the slot machine window.
