Sofia Vergara has been married twice before, but is the third time the charm? A new report certainly seems to suggest that it is. All signs are pointing to an engagement in the near future for the Modern Family star and her boyfriend, Justin Saliman (although some fans may feel this is pretty quick given that she split from ex-husband Joe Manganiello in July 2023 and the divorce became official earlier this year).
โHer intention going into this with Justin was that it was simply going to be a bit of fun to get her over Joe [Manganiello]. Itโs turned into way more than that,โ a source recently told Life & Style. โSofรญa is a romantic at heart and still believes in marriage, and sheโs in love. The way sheโs talking they could easily be engaged by the end of this year.โ
The actress may not have been expecting to find love, but according to the source, she has. And despite it only being a year since she and Manganiello called it quits, there are reports that the coupleโs seven-year marriage had its problems long before they decided to go their separate ways. โSofรญa and Joe have been having problems for years. Literally, for as long as they have been married, itโs been a struggle,โ a source told Life & Style last year. โThey are very different people who fell in love, but those differences never went away and ultimately tore them apart.โ
What Went Wrong In Sofia Vergara And Joe Manganielloโs Relationship?
While fans of Sofia Vergara are thrilled for her that she has found happiness again, she recently opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband Joe Manganiello. In an interview with Spanish newspaper El Paรญs, she shared that her lack of desire to have more children (she is already a mom of one son) caused conflict.
“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didnโt want to be an old mom,” she said. “I feel itโs not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but thatโs not for me anymore.”
Vergara and Justin Salimanโs views on children may be more aligned because he has two children already from a previous relationship.
