Sofia Vergara has been married twice before, but is the third time the charm? A new report certainly seems to suggest that it is. All signs are pointing to an engagement in the near future for the Modern Family star and her boyfriend, Justin Saliman (although some fans may feel this is pretty quick given that she split from ex-husband Joe Manganiello in July 2023 and the divorce became official earlier this year).
“Her intention going into this with Justin was that it was simply going to be a bit of fun to get her over Joe [Manganiello]. It’s turned into way more than that,” a source recently told Life & Style. “Sofía is a romantic at heart and still believes in marriage, and she’s in love. The way she’s talking they could easily be engaged by the end of this year.”
The actress may not have been expecting to find love, but according to the source, she has. And despite it only being a year since she and Manganiello called it quits, there are reports that the couple’s seven-year marriage had its problems long before they decided to go their separate ways. “Sofía and Joe have been having problems for years. Literally, for as long as they have been married, it’s been a struggle,” a source told Life & Style last year. “They are very different people who fell in love, but those differences never went away and ultimately tore them apart.”
What Went Wrong In Sofia Vergara And Joe Manganiello’s Relationship?
While fans of Sofia Vergara are thrilled for her that she has found happiness again, she recently opened up about her relationship with her ex-husband Joe Manganiello. In an interview with Spanish newspaper El País, she shared that her lack of desire to have more children (she is already a mom of one son) caused conflict.
“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didn’t want to be an old mom,” she said. “I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore.”
Vergara and Justin Saliman’s views on children may be more aligned because he has two children already from a previous relationship.
