The creator of No More Heroes, Killer7, and Shadow of the Damned, Grasshopper Manufacture has just announced that it will have another Direct presentation in a few days, possibly for a new game. The first one took place last year, and this new Direct will be on July 31, but we don’t really know what it will show or when exactly the stream starts.
According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Grasshopper Manufacture, the team is currently working very hard on something it doesn’t want to mess up. The developer also promised more updates soon. The initial Grasshopper Manufacture Direct was in June 2023 and had a whole host of technical difficulties.
The first event just had some gameplay of Shadow of the Damned: Hella Remastered, which, by that time, was already announced. But more importantly, Grasshopper Manufacture teased a new game that has yet to be announced. All signs point towards that new game being revealed by the end of this month. We saw a blurry glimpse of the game when CEO Suda51 was introduced, but he quickly paused it, so it could be just about anything.
We’ve seen remasters of the No More Hero games, so we could be looking at a sequel or possibly a new IP. If not, it could be a remake of the timeless Killer7. Although the studio did say “new game”, it wasn’t specified whether the new game is a remake or not.
Grasshopper Manufacture has confirmed the release date of Shadow of the Damned: Hella Remastered, and it will come out in October of this year. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Being a remaster, it will launch at only $24.99, and those who preorder the game will get access to it three days early.
