Colin Jost’s presence at the 2024 Olympics is already taking a toll on his body. The comedian is at the prestigious sporting event as a reporter, covering the surfing Olympics. However, Jost not competing didn’t stop him from experiencing pain like the athletes.
In an Instagram post, the Saturday Night Live star poked fun at his struggles. He shared a photo of his hurt foot. Three of his toes were bandaged, with blood stains seen on the fourth. His foot also looked swollen and bruised. Jost wrote, “You know itโs going great when youโve been to the Olympic medical tent more than any of the athletes.” The 42-year-old’s feet haven’t been treated well since he arrived in Tahiti to cover the event. Three days ago when he arrived on the Isalnd, Jost announced his presence with a photo of his bloody foot. “This might ruin my WikiFeet score but I just arrived in Tahiti for the surfing Olympics and the reef was excited to greet me,” he wrote. Days later, Jost seen wearing no shoes for his TV coverage of Carissa Moore’s event.
While his colleagues are in Paris, Scarlett Johansson‘s husband went to Tahiti because the French Polynesia Island is hosting the Surfing Olympics. According to CBS, the location was chosen because it “aligns with Paris 2024โs ambition to spread the Games across France.”
Fans React To Colin Jost’s Injury With Jokes
Given that Jost saw the funny in his brusied feet, fans followed along and roasted him in the comments section. “Wikifeet just declined this,” mocked one fan while another wrote, “This is the worst OnlyFans page.” A third hilarious comment read, “Were you able to walk there? Or did you have to call a ‘Toe’ truck?” Another fan advised the comedian, “You can use the ‘It’s an old Olympics injury’ for the rest of your life now.” Other fans, however, showed real concern for Jost’s wellbeing. “Damn waves of injury. Hopefully you heal quickly, so you can actually enjoy your time in the sun,” wrote a worried follower.
The Weekend Update co-host previously dished on how he got the hosting gig. “Everyone’s like. ‘How did you get this?’ I don’t know who else was volunteering,” he recalled in an interview. “I was just like ‘I’ll love to do it.’ I love surfing, I’ll go, I’ll be a very average surfer trying to figure out how to surf in Tahiti and they were like, ‘Great!‘” Hopefully, Jost’s feet sustain him until the end of the Olympics.
