Viessa is one of the early Descendants that you can start your game within The First Descendant. The icy character is best for turning the vicious Vulgus into Popsicles and to make that even better, you can use the ultimate Viessa for the ultimate freezing power. But unlike the way you unlock Viessa by choosing her from the screen at the beginning of the game, the Ultimate Viessa needs a ton of legwork to do and a bunch of material to gather in The First Descendant.
Notice! You must have finished the game’s main quests and unlock the hard mode to unlock Ultimate Viessa in The First Descendant.
All The Material You Need To Unlock The Ultimate Viessa
- Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells
- Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer
- Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst
- Ultimate Viessa Code
Just like every other Descendant in this game, you need to build the four base elements to start the final research. Each one of these needs four types of material to gather, except for the Ultimate Viessa Code, which is a single grind and find item for every Descendant in the game.
Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells
- 656 Flectoritef
- 682 Hellion
- 76 Insulated Metallic Foil
- Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint
The first of the four elements you need to unlock for Ultimate Viessa is the Enhanced Cells. After the Viessa Code, this item is by far the easiest to unlock, and there are four materials to gather for it.
First, you’d need to grab a bunch of Flectoritef from Munition Boxes in the White-night Gulch. Then grab 682 Hellion material from Munition Boxes in Fortress, and in the end go to the Magister Lab mission to gain some Insulted Metalic Foils, which is where you’ll also find the Amorphous Material 56 for the Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint.
Where To Farm Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint
You need to acquire and open the Amorphous Material Pattern: 056 to unlock the Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint. The material is easily obtained for 100% by going to Kingstone in Hard mode and beating the Magister Lab operation. There’s also a 25% chance of getting two of these on each run. You can then open the amorphous by defeating the Executioner Colossi on Hard mode.
This is the easiest way to get the Ultimate Viessa Enhanced Cells Blueprint in The First Descendant, however, the chance of grabbing this is only 6%. If you’ve unlocked Sharen for going stealthy and invisible, the Void Fusion Reactor missions are recommended for this one.
Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer
- 538 Compound Coating Material
- 1,123 Monomolecular Extractor
- 79 Artificial Biometal
- Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint
Most of the material you need for unlocking the Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint in The First Descendant is easily obtained by visiting certain places. First, for the Compound Coating Material you need to go to the Echo Swamps and loot the Munition boxes around the map. These items respawn quickly, so you’re at ease by only circling around one part of the map for farming the Compound Coating Material.
Next, there’s the Monomolecular Extractor, which is a common loot in Agna Desert’s Munition boxes. And third, we’ve got the Artificial Biometal, which you can gain during missions on Sterile Island in the Normal mode. Last but not least, there’s the Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint, which you can gain by 10% drop chance with the guide below.
Where To Farm Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint
There are easy options for farming the Ultimate Viessa Stabilizer Blueprint. The first is by unlocking the Amorphous Pattern 43 and defeating the Swamp Walker to open it. This will give you a 3% chance and it’s not the best out there. The second option, however, is on Hard mode, but you don’t need to kill a Colossi while there’s a 10% drop rate in this method.
So what you need is the Amorphous Pattern 91 which is obtainable through the Zone Recon Mission located on the north side of the Agna Desert. The mission is simple, go inside the Vulgus Strategic Outpost, hack 4 devices, and kill a boss; that’s it. You will need Sharen for this because you have to remain unseen during the hacking process. If not, you’ll have to deal with a massive fight.
After you’ve done hacking, a boss Vulgus arrives, which you can easily kill if you have a high-level Sharen or any other Descendant. You could also ask other players to help, but this operation isn’t so hard anyway. Also, remember that you can farm as many of these as you want by teleporting and resetting the mission.
Once you’re in position of the Amorphous Pattern 91, you’ll need to visit the Abyssal Void Fusion Reactor on the north side of the Agna Desert. It’s just half a click up the location you were. However, you’d need Polymer and Organic Void Shards for this mission, which you can easily obtain by visiting the location below while playing as Viessa.
Here you just have to damage the Void Fragment by Viessa’s abilities and fight off the Vulgus to obtain the shards. Once you’re done, get back to Agna Desert, enter the shards on the Fusion Reactor, and start the battle. This ain’t no Colossi battle, but there’ll be 2 Elite Trackers and 2 Elite Slayers with a bunch of smaller soldiers that you’ll have to deal with.
Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst
- 1,285 Superfluid
- 1,039 Shape Memory Alloy
- 59 Organic Biogel
- Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst Blueprint
Not given up on unlocking the Ultimate Viessa in The First Descendant yet? Alright, let’s keep going then. For Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst, you’ll need to visit Kingston and complete the Surveillance Radar mission to gain Organic Biogel and search the loot boxes in Sterile Island and Hagios for Superfluid and Shape Memory Alloy.
Once you’ve gathered enough of the smaller material, it’s time for the big one, the Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst Blueprint. For this item, you could go for 3 different routes by unlocking the Amorphous Material Pattern 70, 118, or 108. Here’s the easiest to go with.
Where To Farm Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst Blueprint
You can unlock the Ultimate Viessa Spiral Catalyst Blueprint by obtaining the Amorphous Material Pattern 118. This item is obtainable through the Vulgus Strategic Outpost located on the southwest part of the Fortress map. Once again, you’re going to need Sharen for this one to go invisible and hack 4 devices inside.
After you’ve done hacking/destroying the terminals, an Elite War-Slave arrives, which you can easily deal with if you’ve got your best weapons or a friend or two nearby. Now to unlock the Amorphous Material, you’ll have to go to the south part of the same region.
This Fusion Reactor also requires the Polymer and Organic Shards, which we’ve already got a bunch by damaging the Void Fragment in Fortress. So go ahead and activate the Fusion Reactor, and then fight off the Cultivated Cell Agonia Boss. Remember to bring a Chill Resistance module for your Descendant if you don’t want the boss to turn you into a popsicle.
Ultimate Viessa Code
You can unlock the Ultimate Viessa Code by gaining the Amorphous Material Pattern 38 and earning yourself a 3% chance of obtaining the item. Or, you could go the other way on Hard mode and obtain the Amorphous Material Pattern 75 by giving a good old Vespers map a visit.
The Vulgus Strategic Outpost on the north side of the map is the destination, where you’ll have to destroy/hack 3 terminals; same drill, different area. A giant Vulgus arrives after you wreck their devices, which you can annihilate pretty quickly if you have the right weapons. Don’t let him get anywhere near you though; you’ll explode!
Got the Amorphous? Good, now go to the southeast of the same region to reach the Abyssal Fusion Reactor. You’ll need Organic and Polymer Shards for this one, again. Remember the Eterllick boss back when you had started grinding in this game? Well, there’s an overpowered version of him waiting for you after you activate the reactor! Kill him, and hopefully, you’ll unlock the Ultimate Viessa Code in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
