Jason Kelce has been enjoying his retirement to the fullest since he hung up the cleats after the previous NFL season. However, Kelce is beginning a new chapter in his life as he signed a deal with ESPN to become an NFL broadcaster. Kelce is using the newfound fame he has gotten from the podcast he does with his brother, Travis Kelce, to expand his brand. Kelce was reportedly chased by many different networks before he chose ESPN.
According to The Mirror, Jason Kelce recently made his ESPN debut in the most Kelce way possible. Ahead of the NFL’s first preseason game of the new season, Kelce joined NFL Countdown, rocking a new hat he got from the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France. Kelce joked that he was “still on Paris time.” It seems like Jason will fit right in as a broadcaster.
Jason Kelce Is Ready for His New Chapter as an NFL Broadcaster
“Jason is a highly respected Super Bowl Champion with a strong connection to fans,” Burke Magnus, ESPN president of content, said. “Walking off the field and immediately to ESPN, viewers will benefit from his perspective which has been shaped through his years as an established locker room leader and a future Hall of Fame center. “Jason’s addition to Monday Night Countdown will greatly strengthen our NFL coverage.”
Kelce has been everywhere lately. From WWE events all the way to NFL Countdown. A lot of this can be traced back to how well his podcast is doing. New Heights is co-hosted by Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce. Of course anything with Travis’ name on it also comes with Taylor Swift’s name.
