Finding The House With Legs: Hale’s Moving House Guide

It’s just a moving house, no big deal

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Hale’s Moving Castle isn’t what you’d imagine it to be if you’ve watched the movie it’s based on. Instead, you’ll be met with a legged, torn-down house that emits some kind of supernatural horror. There are a few places where it can appear, so I outlined exactly where to find Hale’s Moving House and how to complete it in Once Human.

The house can be encountered in four locations. To make those locations more prominent on your map, check out a quest titled Strange Empty House, which Jeremiah in Tall Grass gives you. The quest asks you to locate a house with the same features as I described above. You’ll then be promoted to search four locations that will be marked on your map, as they are above.

In my search, I found the house at the southernmost section of the map, along the beach. In researching where other players found it, it seems like they also found it in the same place. I did, however, search the other three locations to verify that the house doesn’t appear there.

After finding the house, go inside. You’ll see three arms sprouting up from the floor. Shoot them, and the house will wake up. If you were kicked out of the house, shoot under its legs to get it to stop moving and come down. There are also a few updrafts that will spawn in during the fight to jump back in with. Personally, this did not happen to me, and I was inside the house the entire time.

Inside, the hands will release a blue light that acts as Consciousness Fragments, encompassing three different items in the house. After finding each item, you’ll be prompted to return to where the three arms were. They will hold a loot crate, rewarding you for everything you’ve accomplished. Inside, I discovered the following:

  • Disco Ball Deviant.
  • Stardust Source.
  • 200 Acids.

The chest can be opened weekly, though it’s not clear exactly when in the week it resets. I assume that it happens whenever a new phase begins. Finding Hale’s Moving House in Once Human is a great way to earn additional Acid, unlike farming for Polluted Water.
