Beats by Dre has cornered the headphone market for a couple of years now, despite the exorbitant price tag associated with it. British audio company RHA looks to provide an alternative to Dr. Dre’s Beats X hardware this summer when they release their two new headphones.
The MA650 and the MA750 will feature a flexible, contoured neckband and come with aptX, noise isolation, and 12 hours of playback. The MA650 will feature a 380.1 dynamic driver, while the MA750 is set to be about $70 more expensive. The price increase is as a result of a 560.1 dynamic driver, as well as the inclusion over-the-ear hooks.

Despite wanting to overthrow the Apple product, both headsets are inspired by their competition, the Beats X. While higher quality end – with quality being an inaccurate word for the product depending on who you ask – Beats products tend to sell from around $200 to $400 per headphone.
But the Beats X is being touted as the best bang for your buck, with good hardware that isn’t as expensive, as it’s is sold for an average of $149.95. In comparison, The MA650 will cost $99 and the MA750 will come in at $169.
RHA claims its products are engineered for sonic purity and precision and are designed for use with amplifiers, so we will see if that selling point can entice fans enough to stay away from Beats X.
The British audio company and the MA650 and the MA750 will go head to head with Apple and Beats X when they are released later this summer. For more information be sure to check back to the site for all of your tech updates, as well as all of your other Nerdy News!
