The paternity of Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s unborn baby will be confirmed very soon. During a recent TikTok live, the reality star’s estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, revealed he’s being forced to take a DNA test to determine if he’s the father of her child. “I don’t have a choice,” he said. “It is what it is. I hate being in this situation.โ
Is Ryan Anderson or Ken Urker the Father?
Although Blanchard claims her boyfriend, Ken Urker, is the father, her ongoing divorce from Anderson legally complicates things. According to Louisiana State Law, Anderson could be listed as the father on the baby’s birth certificate since he and Blanchard are still married. If Urker wants his name on the birth certificate instead, then a DNA test must be issued to determine the paternity of the child.
The Louisiana Paternity Establishment Program states:
If the mother is married to someone other than the biological father when the child was conceived or has been divorced for less than 300 days at the time of birth, the husband/ex-husband shall be the presumed father, unless paternity is established for the biological father.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson had only been married for a year when the pair announced their separation in March. The following month, Blanchard began dating her former fiancรฉ, Ken Urker, again. Since she jumped so quickly from one relationship to the next, fans have been wondering whether Anderson or Urker is the father of her child.
Although Anderson is almost positive it isn’t him, he admitted during his live stream that he isn’t 100 percent sure. “The way the timeline matches up โ I don’t think it’s mine, but I don’t know,” he said. “The DNA test is going to prove it. Crazier things have happened.”
Anderson’s Comments Come Amid Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Major Baby Announcement
Interstingly, Anderson went on TikTok live the same day that Blanchard announced she’s having a baby girl. She and Urker shared the exciting news with a video message on Instagram.
Blanchard is expected to give birth in January 2025.
