Start your engines racing fans, as 704Games has officially announced a sequel to 2016’s NASCAR Heat Evolution. The upcoming sequel, titled NASCAR Heat 2, will be the next installment in the revamped series and promises to build up the core of its predecessor.

The next game will mark the second installment of a NASCAR game since the rebrand after EA Sports abandoned the license a few years ago. Monster Games had been involved with the popular series, NASCAR Heat, that was produced by EA back in 2002 and is all set to return for the sequel as it’s developer.

The developer has promised to improve upon many of those core aspects, including enhanced online multiplayer, a deeper career mode, and track updates. NASCAR Heat 2 is also slated to feature drivers and other features that will be up to date and in line with the 2017 NASCAR season and it’s sanctioned national series formats.

“This new game will have a very different look and an enhanced overall experience that reflects the insights of actual NASCAR drivers,” Brooks, the 704Games CEO, said in a statement. “Over the coming months, we’ll announce additional new features that we believe will really excite our fans.”

Alongside the announcement trailer for it, there is a social media campaign that allows fans to help decide who will be the game’s cover athlete, all leading into the Monster Energy All Star Race this weekend. To vote, head over to www.NASCARHEAT.com/CoverRace and decide the two Toyota drivers you want to see go head to head to be the face of NASCAR Heat 2.

NASCAR Heat 2 will be available on Sept 12,2017, playable on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. For more information, be sure to check back to the site for updates on NASCAR Heat 2, as well as all of your Nerdy News!
