Sony has just announced the new games coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics for August 2024. Not to be confused with the PlayStation Plus Essential tier games which all subscribers can add to their account, these games can only be played by people who are subscribed to the Extra or Premium tiers.
August has a lot of great games on offer, with the headliners being The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cult of the Lamb, and Wild Hearts. Coupled with that, those subscribed to the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus get access to PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3 (cloud-only) games as well. The classic games coming in August include the TimeSplitters trilogy (RIP).

Other than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cult of the Lamb, Watch Dogs 2 is another solid addition. Not to mention Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. But they’re only worthwhile if you didn’t claim them when they were available as Essential tier games in the past. Sword Art Online fans will likely be foaming at the mouth with this month’s offerings. All of the games mentioned above will join the PlayStation Plus Catalog on August 20, 2024.
