King Charles has had just about enough of Prince Andrew’s shenanigans. The younger brother of Charles III has been nothing but a shame to the palace since the U.S. civil sex assault case, as well as offering little significance to the Crown. The Duke of York has been said to chill about and do nothing but play golf and other recreational activities, while Prince William and Charles carry most of the responsibilities. However, Charles is bringing down the hammer on Andrew by taking away his personal security team.
According to The Sun, “It isn’t a secret that the King wants him,” Prince Andrew, “out.” To ‘compel’ his brother to pack his bags, Charles has removed the Duke’s security force. Now, “they are all working the final weeks of their contract till the end of October. It’s not thought anyone is being lined up to replace them.”
“Everyone is speculating this means the Duke will have to leave the Royal Lodge because what other reason could there be to take his security away?”

Some Believe Charles Is Doing This to “To Keep the General Public Happy”
While there’s no doubt Charles III’s message is clear to the Duke of York, the community of the subreddit r/unitedkingdom thinks this could be just a publicity move for the King. User what_is_blue argues that despite that, Andrew has things he’s done and been accused of, Andrew was still “Lizzie’s favorite.” In fact, the commenter argues that “Andrew will do virtually anything for money,” but “it’s tricky.”
“The wider public wouldn’t really care. But this is a different kind of powerful, old-money family [as Andrew is part of The Royal Family]. Frogmore Cottage is fine for Andrew. And if he had any sense, he’d take it and just disappear. Gets a couple of armed guards, takes the money and waits to die. So we end up with “He’s being cut off!” to keep the general public happy, but he’s kept comfortable enough to stop him doing anything stupid and prevent Charles from looking cruel.”
