Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is a busy man. However, he was not too busy today to step up and help out a troubled woman in need. The singer is known by his fans as an incredible entertainer and a man with a huge heart who never stops giving back.
Bon Jovi fans worldwide praise the rocker after rescuing a woman about to jump off the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. Unfortunately, this story would have had a different ending without Jon Bon Jovi’s quick thinking and convincing words.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and the Daily Mail report that Jon Bon Jovi was one woman’s guardian angel today. While filming a new music video for his song “People’s House,” the singer caught sight of a troubled woman on the outside railing of the bridge. The woman, seemingly in distress, was on the verge of making a life-altering decision.
Jon wasted no time approaching the woman. Bon Jovi and another unknown female bystander helped convince the woman to let them pull her back to safety.
The scary incident was caught on video. The singing icon, 62, flashes a relieved smile at the woman as he embraces her. Sources tell the DM that Jon won’t be making public comments out of respect for the person and their privacy. The insider adds, “Bon Jovi did what any person in that situation would have done, offering a helping hand to the person in need.”
Jon Bon Jovi, Rockstar Hero With The Heart Of Gold
Fans are flocking to media sites to pay tribute to the singer for his quick thinking. One fan writes, “I honestly believe he was meant to be on that bridge at that time. I’m so happy he was able to help her.” Another adds, “Heartwarming story for once. God bless all involved. What a heroic and beautiful thing to do to help someone in dire need.”
Jon Bon Jovi is well-known by his fans as a good samaritan, philanthropist, and all-around good guy. The singer and his wife, Dorthea Hurley, developed and run the JBJ Soul Kitchen. The diner is a notable non-profit in Red Bank, New Jersey, run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
At the Soul Kitchen, diners can donate to eat at Jon Bon Jovi’s community restaurant. The unique pay-what-you-can restaurant in New Jersey serves meals to those in need and empowers the community through volunteerism and support. Those unable to pay can work off the cost of their meals in the restaurant or the garden.
When Jon and the band are not touring, the lead singer is often at the Soul Kitchen cooking or washing dishes. The restaurant in Redbank has been open for 13 years. The Tom’s River location has been open for ten years, with plans for a third coming soon.
However, for now, the singer is busy working on new music, hopefully planning a new Bon Jovi tour, and adjusting to his latest superhero role.
