While every member of The Royal Family likely has skeletons in their closets, the publicly disgraced and scandalous Prince Andrew is probably the worst, besides the Mexgit duo, Harry and Meghan. A good number of the royals despise him as well, especially Prince William, who has “absolutely no desire to be seen with the Duke in public,” an insider tells the Mirror. This is no surprise, seeing how William has “long held a grudge” against his shameful uncle for his distaste against Kate Middleton.
A good number of royals have also reportedly called against Prince Andrew’s public appearance at royal events, “suggesting there could be a ‘backlash’ if he was seen in public.” While such disapproval and resentment of The Royal Family against the Duke of York is understandable, MP for York Central, Rachael Maskell, holds an even stronger dislike for Andrew and claims that her view represents the general sentiment of all of the UK.
“Any public rehabilitation of the Duke of York is certainly not something the country as a whole would welcome at all. Any rehabilitation process in terms of a public role for Prince Andrew would be unpalatable, especially when the questionable acts that he was accused of involved the possible sexual misconduct against vulnerable women. We want to make sure the rights of women are upheld and I don’t think we can have confidence that those would be a priority if Prince Andrew was welcomed back into any public role whatsoever.”

Maskell continues, “To be represented by someone with a questionable past, certainly for the people of the country that I represent, is not something we want.” With this all said, not only is Prince William’s grudge against Prince Andrew justified in the eyes of the public, but his contempt is overall encouraged, according to Maskell.
King Charles, for one, is nearing the end of his rope of patience regarding Prince Andrew’s refusal to move out of the Royal Lodge. It’s allegedly gone as far as insomuch Charles possibly cutting off financial support for the disgraced Duke, giving him no choice but to leave.
