Lady Gaga‘s engagement would have been a forever secret if it was up to her. The singer stole the spotlight at the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, it wasn’t her wonderful rendition of Zizi Jeanmaire’s “Mon Truc En Plumes that had fans talking. It was her giant rock and her introduction of Michael Polansky as her fiancé, not her boyfriend. While the moment looked like a proud declaration of love, that wasn’t Gaga’s intention.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the Paparazzi songstress dished on the viral moment. “The prime minister actually had his people filming us while they were saying hello, and they caught me saying, ‘Oh, this is my fiancé,'” she explained to the host. “And I was trying to keep it hidden, but then they announced it to everyone.” However, Gaga isn’t losing sleep over the exposure as she described it as “kind of fun.”
The Joker: Folie à Deux star, who has kept her romance with Polansky low-key, surprisingly detailed her unique proposal on the show. She revealed that the entrepreneur proposed to her on April Fools Day. “Actually, I thought he was joking, and he was not. But it was really nice,” she quipped.
‘She Looks So Happy’ Fans Gush Over Lady Gaga’s Engagement
Gaga’s excitement about her thriving love life radiated through the screen, and fans definitely noticed. “Wow!!!! Really, love changes us… She looks so happy and nice,” observed one fan while another wrote, “Just watching her makes you smile. She is such a wonderful human, and I wish her continued happiness.” A third comment read:
“She’s glowing. I’m so excited for this next era of hers, so many things coming out. she seems on top of the world.”
Gaga and Polanksy first crossed paths at a party after the singer’s mom initially met the philanthropist and called him her “husband.” She recalled in an interview, “My mom met him, and she said to me, ‘I think I just met your husband.’ I said, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband.'” It, however, wasn’t until months of dating that their romance became public in 2019.
