Since then the mom of eight has disappeared from TV, but now she could be forced to return to her famous roots.

At the height of her TV fame, Kate reportedly earned $250,000 per episode, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Thanks to her show, book deals, and speaking engagements, the family moved into a six-bedroom Pennsylvania home, worth $1.1 million.

But a string of controversies caused her popularity to diminish, and the star was forced to downsize. She traded her Pennsylvania home for a more affordable house in North Carolina. And she returned to her first job of nursing to bring in a paycheck.

According to OK! Magazine, things continue to worsen for the former TV star. A source reveals that Gosselin’s financial troubles haven’t improved.
