Marilyn Manson’s sexual assault case is facing scrutiny amid Diddy‘s arrest. Two years after his legal battle with ex Evan Rachel Wood fizzled out with no criminal charges being filed, authorities say new evidence could change the tide.
Los Angeles County D.A. George Gascón, in a new statement, revealed that prosecutors are “reviewing new leads and additional evidence.” The new evidence, “which emerged within the last few weeks,” came from a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigation into Manson. Gascón explained that senior staff members of his office’s sex crimes division are in contact with alleged victims and their reps. It is unsure what this means for the Tainted Love musician but the DA’s office is yet to officially file any charges. Per USA Today, Gascón concluded, saying:
“It is our office’s responsibility to ensure that we have a complete picture of the admissible evidence available before making a filing decision.”
Manson has faced numerous abuse allegations from over a dozen women since 2021. However, Wood and Game of Thrones star Esmé Bianco publicly came forward, pursuing legal action. Through it all, the disgraced rocker has maintained innocence, saying his sexual relations were “entirely consensual with like-minded partners.”
Fans Want Marilyn Manson To Suffer Same Fate As Diddy
Although the DA office didn’t make any correlation between Manson and Diddy, fans can’t help but draw the line. Since the rapper’s dramatic arrest, accusing fingers have been pointed. All of Hollywood is being scrutinized. Hence, it makes sense why the new update has many advocating for Manson to be behind bars. He is yet to be charged or even declared guilty. However, fans are pissed.
“I recommend Marilyn Manson for prison cell next to Diddy,” one fan declared on X. Another wrote, “You will never catch me listening to R Kelly, Diddy, Marilyn Manson, or anyone else who has publicly been a rapist.” A third Internet user joked, “New Evidence in the @marilynmanson sase… Knock, Knock, Guess Who… #Diddy.” With Manson already deemed guilty in the court of public opinion, it’ll be lucky if he survives.
