Public parking is called that for a good reason: it’s public. That means anyone can park in those spots through the duration listed in those areas. That also means that these spaces cannot be reserved in advance if the day just happens to be busy and traffic-filled. However, a Reddit user posted a video of a Karen attempting to stop a car from backing into a parking space because she saw it first.
A Reddit user by the name Rave4life79 posted a video showing a woman attempting to push back against a vehicle that was backing toward her. The vehicle is not at fault, however. The woman, who we’ll just call Karen, was attempting to secure a parking spot for her partner. Instead of calling the loss and walking away, Karen becomes furious and pushes herself up against the car.
At one point, she pulls out her phone to contact someone I can only assume is the police. Why do I assume that? Because she keeps repeating that the driver of the car is running her over, despite what’s actually seen in the video. She also threatens it a few times.
Give her a few good squirts from the rear window washer.”

I don’t think I can agree more with that comment. There are very few hills that I will die on, and parking into a space that is rightfully mine is one of those. The encounter doesn’t end with a resolution, but I’d like to think that the person driving the SUV managed to get into the space. Other replies comment on the driver of the SUV.

I think that because the driver had a dog in the car, they didn’t want to accidentally make the situation worse. Personally, I would have ensured that I had all the time in the day to fight for that space.
