Karen Berates Fast Food Worker Over ‘Hot Food’ in Viral Clip: ‘Lady With The Camera Was Hoping For Something To Happen So She Could Jump In’

They don’t get paid enough to deal with this

Fast food workers don’t get paid enough to deal with the situations they face daily. One Reddit user posted a video of a woman, who we’ll just call Karen, getting in the face of an Arby’s employee. In the video, Karen states that the food was way too hot to eat and demands it be remade. Fortunately, the employee had another customer on their side recording the entire interaction.

The video starts strong with the Karen and a male Arby’s employee arguing about her order. It appears that she ordered five of something, and they were all “too hot to be eaten,” which is absurd since fast food needs to be prepared hot. What’s even more absurd is that she asks the employee to remake it but to not additionally heat it, which they cannot do as it could cause potential foodborne illnesses.

Not long after the recording begins, Karen begins to lessen her aggression, especially since the woman behind the camera matches her energy.

Lady with the Camera was hoping for something to happen so she could jump in 🤣 she was about that action.”

It’s funny to see the Karen crumble before the woman recording, but these situations happen far too often. There are plenty of other cases of Karens doing things such as trying to reserve public parking spaces or skipping the line at a gas station. It all boils down to these women thinking that they are above everyone that they come across for some reason.

Personally, I have never felt the need to yell at a service worker for any reason, let alone for preparing my food so that it’s edible. Other commenters rushed to the replies to give their opinions on what the woman in the video considered a problem.

I wish my fast food was “too hot” lmao half the time it’s barely room temp, even if I eat in store”

The video ends before we can see a resolution. However, I’d like to think that the woman was sent home with her food, which had gotten colder over the course of the argument. Regardless, treating a service worker or anyone like she did is never right.
