Now that Episode: Revenant is live and the Vesper’s Host Dungeon has opened up in Destiny 2, we have a new Exotic weapon to get our hands on. Well, it’s not necessarily new, but it’s making its return from Destiny with some new features and improvements. If you recall playing with Ice Breaker before, then you probably know just how overpowered the Exotic Sniper Rifle was. With that in mind, let’s take a look at how to get Ice Breaker in Destiny 2.

How To Obtain Ice Breaker

As opposed to other Exotic weapons and their methods of being obtained, there is no sure-fire way to ensure that you get your hands on Ice Breaker. However, while there’s no absolute way to get it, there’s only one way to increase your chances. Ice Breaker drops from the final encounter within the Vesper’s Host Dungeon. However, while this is the only place it drops from, it only has a chance to drop rather than being guaranteed.

How To Get the Ice Breaker Catalyst

To get the Catalyst for Ice Breaker, you’ll need to complete a quests, some Triumphs, and a puzzle. First, you’ll need to complete the Rogue Network quest first, then complete the Access Override and Director Access Triumphs. Following those and the puzzles that go along with them, there will be one final puzzle in the secret room that unlocks the Catalyst for Ice Breaker.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
