A recent viral video shared on TikTok, and later on Reddit, has sparked widespread disgust and condemnation. The footage, captured by a bystander, shows two young girls opening and spitting into bottles of beverages at a store before resealing them and placing them back on the shelf. According to store CCTV footage, the girls spat in 17 bottles before being confronted by a man, who proceeded to call them out for their vile behavior.

In the video, the man can be heard asking the girls, “Do you think it is ok to do this?” Instead of apologizing or showing remorse, the girls defensively claimed that the man was only filming them to “go viral.” One of them even attempted to boast about her “600 followers” on social media, an odd flex that further fueled online outrage.

The confrontation took an even more bizarre turn when the man asked the girls to reflect on the consequences of their actions. He pointed out that he, or even his daughter, could have unknowingly purchased one of the contaminated drinks. Rather than acknowledging the potential harm caused, one of the girls responded by attacking his parenting, saying he was a “bad father” for confronting them in front of his child.

The incident escalated as the man, visibly upset, later recorded himself in his car reflecting on the girlsโ€™ attitude. He expressed disbelief at their lack of accountability, especially considering the significant health risk they had created. He also mentioned that the girls followed him and his family around the store afterward, calling them derogatory names like “tramps” and “poor.”

Reddit users were quick to express their outrage, with one commenter stating, “Thatโ€™s revolting, so is the attitude when they got caught. Yuck.” Another pointed out the legal implications, noting, “Itโ€™s definitely criminal. It falls under s 38 of the Public Order Act 1986.”

The video has prompted calls for legal action, with many urging authorities to investigate. While it remains unclear whether the girls will face charges, the public response has overwhelmingly favored holding them accountable. The Reddit thread, filled with disgust and disbelief, highlights the deep concern over the growing trend of harmful pranks and stunts performed for social media clout. As one user summed up: “Social media has seriously rotted the brains of so many kids. They see these โ€˜pranksโ€™ as hilarious… No empathy, no consideration, nothing.”

It’s worth noting that a similar incident in the U.S saw a man jailed for licking tubs of icecream in a store.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the potential consequences of irresponsible social media behavior, and many are calling for platforms like TikTok and Instagram to take stronger measures to discourage such acts.
