Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are arguably the most talked-about celebrity couple of the year. The duo, who went public with their relationship in September 2023, have had everything buzzing about their romance for months on end. Because of all the interest that their relationship has gained among fans and the media, the NFL has been forced to take action. The football league is now going above and beyond to ensure the safety and privacy of their players. Especially in one of the places where they are the most vulnerable — the locker room.
According to Radar Online, the NFL decided to make the move to boost security around the locker room. And it’s reportedly due to Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift. The league is hoping to cut down on the chance that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, or any other player, will be snapped by a “peeping tom” looking to get a “hot shot.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Credited For New NFL Security Boost
Reporters will no longer beheading into the locker room for after-game interviews. Instead, there will be a specific places for the players to go after the game. There they will talk to the media and the locker rooms will be off limits.
“While reporters will still have access to players for interviews, the locker room will no longer be part of the equation,” an insider dished. “Instead, interviews will now be conducted in separate, designated areas, with each team determining the location.”
“While the league is pretending this is to protect all players privates, everyone knows it is to protect Taylor Swift’s boyfriend,” the source continued. “Swift’s new flame — and other NFL stars — can rest assured that their post-game downtime won’t be making headlines. But no one believes it’s just a coincidence that the new rules are being implemented now.”
These new rules come just days after it was revealed that Swift was skipping some of Kelce’s away football games due to security concerns. So far this season she’s only attended home games in Kansas City. However, she has been busy with her Eras tour.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are the reason for the new NFL rules. However, other players may be singing their praises. The security boost is good for everyone in the league as they look to protect their privacy. Hopefully, Kelce and others will feel more safe with the rules in place.
